How to request a name change.

The browsers that work best with the eLicense system are:

• Google Chrome (recommended)
• Mozilla Firefox
• Microsoft Internet Explorer (Version 11)

Follow these steps to renew your Ohio license if you have not registered in the new licensing system.

1. Go to the eLicense Ohio system at https://elicense.ohio.gov/.
2. Select Login / Create Your Account.
3. Under New Users, choose I Have a License.
4. You will be asked to enter your personal information including your date of birth
   and social security number. This is required information.
5. You will be asked to enter a security code. If you do not have your security
   code, then click Obtain Security Code.
6. You will be asked to enter an e-mail and password. Your e-mail address will be your login name in eLicense Ohio.
7. Once you have logged in click the Options drop down menu on your license and select name change.

Follow these steps to renew your Ohio license if you are already registered in the new licensing system.

2. Select Login / Create Your Account.
3. Login under Existing Users
4. Once you have logged in click the Options drop down menu on your license and select name change.
